TeamSite 7.2.1 Search - only 50 results!

I am using TeamSite 7.2.1 running on Win2008.

My users are trying to do searches and no more than 50 results ever come back. There is no paging option on the page, so it is impossible to get more results.

I know IDOL backs the search, and is configured to only return a max of 1000 results but obivously that is not coming into play here. It appears it is a problem with the UI.

Anyone experience this? Can someone try it? You need to run a query that you KNOW will return more than 50 results.

Anyone have a fix?

I have an open ticket with Autonomy Support but as usual weeks have gone by with no help.

I just installed in from scratch (on a Windows XP Pro system separate from my TeamSite install )after reading your post. I appear to be getting the same results. Both in IE7 and FireFox 4.01.

Now I'm getting the following.

Check if you have zero-length "perl" File in iw-perl/bin directory. If so, delete it

I looked for that, and found it, but then found out that the following pathing works for me.

E:\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_center\customer_src>iwperl.exe e:\interwoven\teamsite\bin\make_toolkit.ipl

Ignore the obvious space in the word center.

It works because you've indicated iwperl with "exe" extension. "make_toolkit" uses
just "perl" thus zero-length "perl" file without extension masks the right executable.

If you have this zero-length **** - remove it

When looking in the E:\Interwoven\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-preview.war\WEB-INF\conf\customer location I found that the changes had been copied over and After a iwreset -a the paging still isn't working.

Files were perhaps copied but an application has not been rebuilt.

This SPar stuff obviously contains some Site Publisher components.
Search for it in the support, there are quite a few articles indicating
installation issues, missing JAR(s) etc.

Commenting out this entry in the "toolkits.xml" should have helped. By chance,
have you created a back-up for this File in the same directory? If you have, move it
into some "neutral" location. In some locations Ant builder takes all XML Files
irrespectively of the actual file names.

I don't have LiveSite or SitePublisher installed (don't need it) which is why it can't find what it's looking for.

No extra copy of the toolkits.xml file in that location, or anywhere on the system so I'm not sure where it's getting it from. It's really strange. I am editing the correct toolkits.xml file and the entry has been deleted. But it still seems to think that line exists. It must be picking up from a jar file somewhere.

I might have to install LiveSite and SitePublisher just to get around this. This is stupid.

So I had to modify E:\Interwoven\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\META-INF\toolkit.xml to remove the line. Now I get more than 50. But, I think the real question from the original poster is "Why aren't there any pages?". Doesn't the search results page have pages? Are all the results shown on the one page? If so, then that just kills the browser performance.
