VA buttons toolbar is not enabled

Hi,

I have administration access to my machine and i successfully installed VisualAnnotate.Visualannotate is enabled through "View -> toolbars -> Interwoven Visualannotate".
Now i couldnot see VA buttons in toolbar, only interwoven icon is available as shown in attachment. I also tried toggling "show/hide buttons label" option available through down arrow next to interwoven icon in toolbar. Have enabled VA in "my_workflow.cfg" file and also in "iw.cfg".

Here are the specifications:-
Teamsite 6.7.1 sp1
OS - window 2003
IE - version 6.0

Any hints/thoughts would be very helpful.Thanks

The screen short seems to show a properly installed and functional VA toolbar - What we cannot tell from the image you posted, is what URL the browser has loaded.

If you're viewing an HTML page located within a TeamSite workarea, especially (perhaps only) if this window resulted from selecting the Review option from a properly configured workflow's task details screen - you should have access to the VA toolbar components / functions.

If the browser window is pointing to any other URL - there's nothing for VA to do so not being completely visible would make sense (IMO).

Note: I haven't use VA very much, and we're having problems getting it installed correctly at my customer's TS672SP2+P1 W2K3 environment (some of us managed to get it installed and functional, some managed to get it installed but not functional, and some are not able to get it installed ... they have a case open with Support, but I don't know that much has happened with it yet)

VA Toolbar is a dynamic control, it behaves differently depending on the Annotation State.

In order for all that to work you should be within so called "Review Cycle". You are not in one so annotation
buttons are not exposed. Normally this is accomplished by the workflow that sets/changes Cycles, etc.

Check "Using VisualAnnotate" Chapter in the WF Manual and take a look at Solution Workflows "configurable_author_submit"
and "configurable_author_assignment" to see how it's done

You should install it in different machine and see what's the behaviour in other client PC. From our experience, different machine is giving different behaviour.

Correctly pointed out by ghoti. We do face problem (some of us managed to get it installed and functional, some managed to get it installed but not functional, and some are not able to get it installed).

So far we have not seen a successful functional VA toolbar.

Thanks for response. I was jus wondering where iam going wrong in executing VA.I have admin rights so installed it successfully.Have enabled "configurable_author_assignment" wf and Reviewing the Html page generated in Teamsite, but still couldnot able to see VA toolbar.
