Teamsite services going down frequently

Hello All,

We are currently facing issues with teamsite services hosted on IIS servers. The services have stopped automatically causing production environment downtime. We do not see anythin malicious in the logs as well.

Behavior - 1) teamsite services get stopped automatically on the prod base server. The UI goes down and the Y: drive goes missing on the base server.
2) iwreset does not get the services up and hence a complete restart becomes necessary following which, the services work fine.

One thing that we see in the event viewer logs is "FileObj 89A78DC0:: ccPurgeCache is about to crash because CcUninitializeCacheMap was not called on address." event getting fired frequently. What could be the reason? Any fix?

Also do let me know the exact log file name that may help us in further investigations.

If iwserver (and thus the Y: drive) does away, then iwreset will not help, restart is a requirement.

You really should be on the phone with support.

My guess is that you have hit a bug (that I have not seen) or you have a backingstore corruption. Or both, iwserver should not die from a backingstore corruption.

You may want to run iwfsck IF you really know what you are doing. If you do, do not fix any errors unless you are told to by support.

I would also take a gander through all the other log files within those directories - but I would start with the three listed above - especially the second one.

Apart from all the above checks, You should also check the space on the drive on which iw-store rests.
Ok so your teamsite goes down, when you restart it how does it respond? does all your services comes up on restart?

Just a shot in the dark, I hope you do not have a near expiring License, you might want to check.
I would also open a support case in parallel before I debug this and may be I would resolve this before they show up.

Thank you all for your responses. We are in touch with the support guys as well, till now no luck.

The license is fine and also the drive has enough space to handle the teamsite operations. I did try having a look at the below mentioned logs and nothing informative seems to come up there as well. Smiley Sad

Incase there is a backingstore corruption, how do we need to go about it and get it in good shape? I trust you folks more for better and optimum solutions.

How about Windows event viewer ?

Like I said, you will eventually need to run iwfsck , so read about it in the manual. Just do not try to fix any errors.

Check the CLT manual on how to run it
