Has Anyone Implemented YUI Compressor in Workflow

Hi All,

YUI Compressor is used to compress all CSS and JS files.It would help us to save space.

I want to use it in my workflow but not very clear how to implement that.

Do you guys implement any type of compressor in your workflow that would be user interacted?

Never done this.

You can do it as part of the workflow (and version the compressed files) or you can do it as part of an OpenDeploy DNR, so the file is compressed after it is pushed to the prod server (or staging or whatever).

I spent a good while looking into this about 3 months back. It all looked possible - we just got hung up on how to edit un-minified files and yet retain the same name later in prod when minified.

A thought - not sure how valid, but you can judge that yourself:

Essentially, you consider the _min version to be generated output from "source" (so you don't have to version it unless you really want to do so) and then you add other code to make things conform behind-the-scenes.
