How to Generate HTML without LiveSite markup?

We're using TS 7.0 on Windows 2003. We use SitePublisher only to generate ASPX pages (from .page files). (We don't use LiveSite otherwise.) The problem is that we're seeing markup such as the following in the generated pages:

div id="w1285782082177" class="ls-cmp-wrap">
div class="iw_component" id="c1285782082177">

How can we omit that?

how can a sane person think anything else about this stillborn piece of 'engineering'. The only reason it came to life was the fact Jon **** left for Alfresco and nobody was left to drive the templating part. True, templating had to be redone, but since Jon had left, templating was left untouched and IWOV went down a wrong path called 'in place editing' which looks appealing, but, IMO has nothing to do with the future of the WCM and Web 2.0, etc.

I don't understand why people would need to use it as I'd rather use a proper app server or portal server and TeamSite would deliver content to it. I simply reject the notion of 'in place' editing that is maybe good for smaller sites, but IMO should be rejected outright for enterprise implementations. If you want to do smaller sites, you don't need an expensive beast like TeamSite (which is excellent for enterprises, I must say).

you can customize your layout XSL(whatever layout option you are opting for during new page, each layout has its own XSL in live site) for omitting these tags if required. would be little tricky.

Thanks, Guys, as per your suggestion, I was able to get rid of those "div" tags by updating

\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_customer_src\etc\classes\com\...\xsl\default-fixed-layout.xsl.

The attached file shows my changes.

Re. SitePublisher, I feel your pain, Greg. Here's what else causes me pain: Workflow Modeler, Java and XSL. If I had my druthers, I'd revert all the way back to TeamSite 5.5.

i dont seem to have this layout XSL file in my environment. Infact i can trace the path till 'classes' folder and seem to be missing rest of the subfolders (although my Sitepublisher setup is working fine).

Am i missing anything in my environment as i also want to get rid of these additional tags ????

Which "classes" directory are you looking at? What is the full path?

Check out

\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_customer_src\etc\conf\livesite_customer\pagetype-config.xml -- read the fine documentation at the top of this file.

In this file, we have customized the fixed-layout by specifying this stylesheet: com/.../xsl/default-fixed-layout.xsl (replace ... with your company name). Create the folder structure and the stylesheet inside TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_ce nter\livesite_customer_src\etc\classes. Then rebuild the LiveSite application.
