hi,

i want to access DCRs from a particular DCT in my java code and retrieve the field values from the DCR and then create a new XML DOM for it. how to go about it? through XSL transforms applied on the DCR xml ? then how do i pass my DCR to the java code?

DO you want to get the values of DCR in Java code and then create XML based on this DCR values ?

Hi Anud...I am using TS 6.7.2...
In that we can do it by using the iw_system tag inside perl code we can include executable java code...

or in XSL we can use java code....
I am not aware of the TS 7.2.1
It might be available in the formPublisher or formAPI guide of 7.2.1...that how to use java to retireve the value in DCR...

Your question is lacking on context, but once your Java is executing, you should be able to resolve the CSSimpleFile from the CSClient, then open an InputStream from the CSSimpleFile, and feed that to the DOM parser of your choice:

CSSimpleFile dcr = csclient.getFile('/default/main/path/to/dcr');
InputStream stream = dcr.getInputStream(true);
Document doc = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder().parse(stream);
