GEnerate not working

When I am trying to generate a page (output is jspf and jsp) , page is not generating and I am getting error message "oops, link appears to be broken" , what can this be due to ? What log files shall I check ? This started happening suddenly.

In here Request from client mean Request from user browser ie the browser from which TeamSite UI is accessed ?

Does request to origin server mean Request to content (consumer) web server ie IIS server in TeamSite architecture ?

Does it mean that there is a problem with IIS server ? Access control of IIS server does not allow Access to the path specified ?
How can we enable Access control to allow access to the path specified ?

1st you say generate is not working but talk about viewing the file. The output you gave looks like iwproxy, which does not matter if you are talking about generating the file.

So does the file get generated ? If so, is it a valid JSP ? Do any JSP files render for you correctly ? You need to narrow down what you are trying to solve.

Which log files shall I check for generate ?

Does not Generate functionality work through iwproxy ? Or is iwproxy only for viewing the files ?

Generate builds a file that you named, find it.

See if it is a valid JSP

Have you loaded a simple JSP on the server and clicked on it ? Do something like a hello world page, nothing requiring other files as includes.

I am checking JSP files that were working fine before. BUt suddenly they are not generating output and gives error.

Where can I start to check the issue ?

In here, we are getting 500 error, if thats for preview, does it mean that if preview is not working then as per this iwproxy output, there is an issue with content web server ?

Can you read ?

Look to see if the file is there.

Is it complete ?

That tells you if it is generated or not.

If it is complete and renders on another server, you have a JSP preview issue and not a generate/TPL/XSL issue.

Thats the point, I think IIS server is the problems.
How do I check IIS server is running or not , just in Windows services UI ?
Is it named as IIS service or is it named differently by TeamSIte ?
How do I check whether its listening to the port indicated in iw.cfg (81) ?

Or better - get a Windows System Administrator to help you - the job will get done faster and if you pay attention you'll learn how to take care of it the next time you run into the same or similar situation.

We are working from an offshore location and have direct acccess to windows server 2003. I see two services "IIS Admin Service" and "IIS logs", both of them are started. Is TeamSite IIS service named differently (Like Tomcat is named servletd) ?

If IIS service is not running, then why would it work when I am using preview button from TS UI ? Since IIS service is running, it shd work When I type http://163.223.129.92:81/iw-mount/default/main/

I will try stopping IIS service and restarting it as suggested. Pls let me know, what else can be there ?

The IIS service is external to TeamSite - it is up to the customer to provide some sort of web server and configure it appropriately in order for TeamSite to provide Preview functionality. So no - there is no special name for the IIS service - it's standard Windows IIS.
