Issue with Mediabin 4.6.2 Replicatoin
yuvpurush
We have a Mediabin 4.6.2 prod instance up and running with Oracle DB. We are now setting up a DR instance and right now in the process of replicating the assets in the DR instance. I am having some issues in that. Any help is highly appreciated.
Below is what I did so far:
Let the server id (as per the registry) be SERVER_PROD and SERVER_DR
Similarly let the repository id (root folder under mbdatadirectory/imagedb) be REPOSITORY_PROD and REPOSITORY_DR
Step1:
Copied the entire assets from REPOSITORY_PROD folder to REPOSITORY_DR folder. Note that i have copied only the assets and not the root folder.
Step2:
Copied the entire Mediabin schema from PROD to DR except the MBSETTINGS table.
Step3:
Identified and replaced the references of SERVER_PROD and REPOSITORY_PROD with the DR values in the below tables
- Updated the MBPSYSTEMLOG table and replaced the SERVER_PROD values with SERVER_DR values
- Updated the INTERNALFILENAMES, LAYERMETADATA and METADATA table and replaced the REPOSITORY_PROD values with REPOSITORY_DR values
From Mediabin web-client, I can see all the old assets (folder, sub-folder and files) and its thumbnail preview.
When I click any file, the preview window is opened and I can see all the metadata as well.
However, when i want to open any document or download any jpg file, i am getting the following error.
The asset(s) could not be retrieved from the MediaBin server
The system cannot find the path specified.
Exception in Primitive {53E24C2A}! Reason = Could not open file, Message = CGetOriginalPrimitive::ReceiveParameters() Could not copy file.
ERROR: Job {028FCA5B-4D40-483F-B246-059FC271418C} Setting parameters in primitive Get Original Primitive. RC = The operation failed. Check the log output for details
Below are the troubleshooting steps
1. In the INTERNALFILENAMES table, the reference of the target document is correct
2. In the jobhistorylog, for the corresponding document the file name value is "\\drmbsrvr\transferfolder20\rad5FDFD\0\Preview.pdf"
3. Under the transferfolder20 share, the subfolder rad5FDFD is created but not the next level subfolder "0"
4. Verified he share and permissions of the transfer folder between PROD (working instance) and DR and they are exactly the same.
5. No significant error messages in the log files.
The interesting thing is, if I upload a new document into the DR mediabin and try to open it, it works properly. All the sub folders under the transferfolder20 are created, the document is copied and it is opened properly. This issue is only with the migrated assets. There is some sort of reference is missing but couldn't catch up.
It will be of great help if someone could provide additional insights.
Thanks
