"normal" xml from DCR

Has anyone successfully converted a DCR xml to a "normal" (for lack of a better word) xml? I have converted DCR's using the iw_perl in a tpl, but I was thinking more inlines of manipulating the DTD to accomplish this. Anyone have any ideas?

what do you mean by normal? Formatted nicely? (in IW.cfg) or without the <value>?

your question belongs to a templating forum. TeamSite Teamplating can handle custom DTD XML as well - just read up some relevant parts of the manual.
