no user error

Do anyone know why would I receive this error.

Error importing file C:\xyz\abc.doc to TeamSite Server:No such user
Local Path:C:\xyz\abc.doc
TeamSite Path://ServerName/default/main/.../

I have uploaded files to this folder before so don't think its an access issue.

its for only one file that this is happening? or any file? try one level up, try importing file one level up, see what happens. You can also try logging out, clear your cache and then login in new window and try.

Was your TS session open for a long time? Could be a case of session getting expired. Re-log in to TeamSite and try importing again.

Thanks for the suggestions. The issue is fixed now.

It turned out that the owner of the word doc file had left the company and since we have users created in the Active Directory from where they are authenticated, TeamSite was somehow trying to search for that user when this existing user submitted an update to the file, it was showing no user error.

I fixed the issue by changing the owner of the file to an Admin ID.

You said the you were importing the file from you local directory on you machine, "C:\xyz\abc.doc" if that is your local machine and you have full authentication of you machine and you have the right teamsite privileges, you should have no problem in importing it. One thing which strikes me if it is local file on your machine , what it has to do with Active Directory authentication?
