Addition of a new column in UI

Hi,

We have a requirement where in the client wants a new column to be placed next to "name" of the DCR showing the metadata which in turn is the value of a field from the DCR,any idea how to approach this issue ,we are using to TS6.7.1 ,is the new column functionality available in TS 7.1 ,

Looking forward for some guidance from experts,
