Well after some searching on here, I have come to the conclusion that TS 6.7.2 is not supported on FF 4.x and later...nor Chrome or Opera...
Not to mention I am using a MAC OS X 10.5
The error I get is "java is not enabled on machine. please contact your administrator" when i try to import files to TS...
Anything possibly i can even begin to investigate before I rollback to an earlier version of FF?...I think it used to work in FF 3.x

I have regularly used TeamSite 6.7.2SP2 on FireFox 4 (and now 5) and Chrome on a Mac (albiet 10.6.x). It has to do with your JRE either not being there (unlikely - being a Mac), or if it is there, then it is not being picked up by your browser (more likely).
Firstly, confirm that java is installed on your machine by typing this at a shell prompt:
java -version
Or, run this from a shell prompt:
/Applications/Utilities/Java\ Preferences.app/Contents/MacOS/Java\ Preferences
If Java is on your machine and configured correctly, you can check within each browser:
Probably the easiest way to check is to visit this site:
http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
It will let you know if it is working OK or not.

Ok, when i type: java -version
I get:
java version "1.5.0_13"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_13-b05-237)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_13-119, mixed mode, sharing)
Macintosh-2:~ dnichols$
The second command didnt work but I think I know what you were looking for. in my Applications/Utilities/Java folder is: Java Preferences application.
When I open that it defaults to the General tab and J2SE 5.0 radio button is selected.
Nothing in the Java Applet runtime parameters...
In the runtime settings i have:
J2SE 5.0
J2SE 5.0 (64 bit)
Java SE 6 (64 bit)
J2SE 1.4.2
In the Advanced Tab, nothing selected for Debugging. java console is set to "do not start console".
Shortcut creation is set to "prompt"
security has various options selected, but nothing looks out of the ordinary.
Is this a FireFox 5 Setting that i need to find and set the path location to the java preferences?

Wow. That is quite an old version of Java, even for MacOS 10.5.x. It seems that you do have 6 installed but it is not selecting it by default. Is there a choice to select J2SE v. 6 instead of v. 5 in that general tab?
(sorry, I don't have any machines with 10.5.x anymore, only 10.6.x ... so I can't check!)
What do you get when you browse to this site using firefox:

When I select Java SE 6, i get a warning message:
"java SE6 is only available for Java applets in 64-bit capable browsers. J2SE 5.0 will be used in 32-bit only browsers, including Safari"
I have tried that URL before and i get the message:
"Mac users: Choose the Software Update item on the Apple menu to tcheck that you have the most up to date version of java on your mac.
Something is wrong. Java is not working."
So I follow the steps to find the Java plat form in Firefox by selecting Tools > Add Ons and selecting the Java plugin, but it is not listed in the Plugins page...
Its like I keep getting the run around... the Mozilla site say to use the Apple update program, but when i run that I dont get any Java updates...

That's strange that software updater didn't update your Java version. It should!!
Nevertheless, this link might help:

You can "manually" download Java from the Apple developer site. That means you have to register, but that's a pretty simple process.

Most of the interwoven suite of products have not been updated with the latest browser technology. So Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4 and 5 are not officially supported, but you can get it working. But don't expect support from Interwoven for those products that is not in the release notes or compatibility matrix.
