PLC Workflow-Deployment Not working

TeamSite 7.2.1
I am using PLC workflow and its getting stuck at deployment task and I couldn’t find any entries in logs and I have not made any changes to modeler file.

Please suggest what I should do

I made entry in log4j.xml at /opt/autonomy/TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer and then ran toolkit.

There should be something in the OD logs. Have you tried running startDeploy.bat script for the same and what error is that returning? Is the deployment to preview not working or runtime not working?

And if there's nothing there, you might find something in content_center.log

First, check Opendeploy and verify if any deployment job related to the deploy task was invoked or not. If there is, then check all OD logs (sort by modified timestamp), it might be database connection or hang deployment.
If no deployments were invoked, then check content_center.log and servletd_out.log.
You can also increase the log level from the Admin tab /logs/set servletd loggers.

I checked deployment logs and no logs are getting generated, enabled nearly all debug options for logs (Administraton->Logs->Set Servleted/Admin Loggers).

Even content_center.log and servletd_out.log are not getting generated , I couldn’t find these logs in TeamSite server.

Below is the entry in iw.cfg for logs

Checked TeamSite documentation and found that servletd_out.log is replaced by content_center.log. Do I have to specify content_center.log path in iw.cfg, if yes then what is the keyword for it, I couldn’t find it in documentation

if the log file isn't listed in iw.cfg then the default location is iw-home/local/logs(iwui). Also it is possible that you are looking at the wrong iw.cfg, especially if you are on linux. you can do a quick search on your system to look for those logs.
content_center.log hasn't entirely replaced servlet_out.log, i still see it in some 7.x machines. Either way, it is not too hard to verify if it is just content_center.log or both in your system.

I checked default location iw-home/local/logs(iwui) and its no there.
I am referring iw.cfg from TeamSite Administration Screen , so it should be the right file.
Also I searched for both log files in TeamSite server, but I couldn’t find it.

post a screenshot of what you see in the administrator / logs tab, expand it as far down as need to show all listed log files. also post your entire iw.cfg (remove anything that will identify your server).

according to what you posted your log file should be in: /data/logs/teamsite/iwui
In your screenshot, i wanted to see the path that you see when you click on iwutild.log. click on one of those logs and see what path you get.
Verify that the application is able to create and write to files in path /data/logs/teamsite, but i don't think TeamSite would work properly if it couldn't create the servletd log.

For Deployment getting stuck.. Check the users permission on OpenDeployWebroot deployments or deployment accesses. Also check opendeploy.properties file if the path is correct

I guess the better way to configure logs for livesite would be via setting loggers in Logs Tab in Admin Console.. See Attached Screenshot . This will send your logs to content_center.log

Also Checkout server.log
Search for the log filename that you gave in your custom appender, it will give some path where it is sending your logs

It might send your custom log to a path like this "C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\yourcustomlog.log"
which is where it was sending my custom log

You will be able to find server.log at Interwoven/ApplicationCOntainer/server/default/log/server.log

I checked opendeploy.properties file and there is one entry for opendeploy.proxyUserName.
I wanted to know does it save password also somewhere or it just need username.

I have searched everywhere in my teamsite server , but I couldn’t find content_center.log and servletd_out.log. I tried iwgetlocation clt also l, but this also doesn’t list both logs.
In server.log , I can only see UI related logs , but nothing related to workflow deployment task.

Thanks everyone for help. This issue got resolved....

We have SSL installed on TeamSite server and urlexteranltask doesn't support https url. That’s why deployment task was not getting initiated .
