Searching for content in DCR

niniti

TS71, WIn Server 2003

-----------------------

I am on a new project. I have a DCR which has some 37 replicants and I have to edit content in one of the fields. I tried to find that content with "Ctrl+f" , but it did not work. So I guess "Ctrl+f" will not work on DCRs.

SO how can I search this content in DCR ? Is there a functionality provided by TeamSite for this kind of search ?

Can I use "Search" functionality provided on UI screen ? Does this functionality get installed with TS or does it need to be installed separately (In 672, this search functionality had to be installed separately). If it is to be installed separately, then where do get it from ? Does it come with a link with TS installation or is it a separate download altogether ? Does it need lot of hardware resources ?

Thanks

Unless your administrators/developers have disabled it for the form type, you'll have to use the "search" bar at the bottom of the DCR, OR expand all containers (there should be an 'Expand All' link at the top right of the DCR unless they've disabled that too) and then CTRL-F will work.

The main TeamSite search wouldn't help you find a piece of text within a form when you already know the correct DCR to edit. Yes, it's a separate install and it can be hardware consuming, depending on your store size and frequency of change (which is why it's recommended to install it on a separate server).
