I believe it's in the same place that it was before - have you looked?

Yes, I just looked at the options of the Edit menu. It is missing the Edit and Copy To links.

Both Edit and Copy To have been removed from the Edit section of the menu in 7.2.x. The removed Copy To was discussed in a previous Thread.

Have you checked it yourself? i am working on 7.2.1. 'Copy to', Edit both the options are still present and are working fine for me.

My version is Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite 7.2.1.0.0. I am running the 64 bit version on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit.

I do not have LiveSite or SitePublisher installed.

Our environment is just a replica of yours. We dont have any customizations on the Edit menu. It is interesting that few users has the options and few don't.

Out of curiosity - are you within an actual WORKAREA when you looked for the option?
If not - that might explain why you didn't see the option.

I don't have my 7.x system running right now - so I cannot verify this from my end, but it sounds like other folks have and did.

Ghoti, I understand why you're asking the question. I've seen way too many people ask "why can't I edit my files", only to find out they're in Staging. I get that question at least once a year from a user.

Yes, we are inside a workarea and not in staging, editions, or other locations. It's been removed as mentioned in other posts.

Here is the solution from the Interwoven support and it worked for me fpr CopyTo function.

1. Please change BOTH ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\conf\livesite\commands.xml from iw.ccpro.copy_to_workarea to iw.livesite.ccpro.copy_to_workarea AND iw.ccpro.update_workarea to iw.livesite.ccpro.update_workarea

2. Update ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\conf\livesite\commandgroups.xml, comment out the entire command-group for iw.group.copy_to_workarea and iw.group.update_workarea

3. restart TS

Maybe someone who has the Edit menu option available in 7.2.1 could upload their commandgroups.xml and commands.xml file so that you and I could compare them to ours.

I notice the same issue. Our production server is showing CopyTo and Edit properly with no modifications to any configs. Our Dev and QA servers are missing CopyTo and Edit. The above workaround works, but it's ridiculous that I have to edit some obscure LiveSite config to get this to work. We don't even use LiveSite or Site Publisher. Nonsense.

The one glaring difference between our Prod and Dev/QA servers is that our license for Prod was generated with the Site Publisher checkbox checked and the others did not have Site Publisher checked. This was just by accident that we checked SP in prod. Regardless, it could be the determining factor as to why one server has it and the others don't. Or it may be a red herring. Either way, I still think it's ridiculous.

1. In \ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\conf\livesite\commandgroups.xml file commenting out the entire command-group for
iw.group.ccpro.edit,
iw.group.ccstd.edit.

2. Restart iwjbossd service.

A strange thing that i have seen with this TS version 7.2.1, is that occasionally when an Administrator user clicks on the "Administration" tab, then for the other users accessing the same TS server, some of the options from the File/Edit menu disappear. It gets resolved either of these ways: 1. Administrator clicks on the CCPro link again and then the other users refresing the screen. 2. Other users logging out of TS and then logging in again.
