XML preview in Livesite

Is there a possiblity to generate XML preview instead on HTML on a .page, while creating a component on LiveSite?

Do you mean a page that is purely XML? The RSS example does that where the page layout is RSS and components render sub-feeds. There is also an XML page type.

If you want a pure XML page do following:

-Create new component
-Add new skin with content type required as 'text/xml'
-Render the XML (you can use an HTML skin and just put as the content)
-Set this new skin as default (so you don't have to change it later from page's component properties)
-Create new page of type XML
-Add the component you created to the page
