Set Document Header Info for PDFs

Hello,

We have html pages generated using templates. These htmls having Document Header Info with metadata information. We have pdfs/docs as well. We want to store 'Verified date' as a metadata information for htmls,pdfs and docs. We can store Verified date in the Document Header Info for HTMLs. We can store Verirfied date as Attribute/Extended attribute for PDFS. But we want to store Verirfied date for PDFs also same as HTMLs(Document Header Info). Is it possible?

Is there any other way to store Verirfied date for PDFs.

I don't believe you can create your own Adobe Reader metadata fields in a pdf, at least not ones visible to the user.

One way to add these hidden metadata fields is to use iText. It's a Java library that will allow you to create or edit pdf files. There's propably a Perl solution that will work as well.
