Stale file handle in Linux, but file looks on from GUI

Hi All,

I read a couple of posts about stale file handles that did not seem to help me.

Background:
Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1
Linux with a NFS 2.0 fileshare
Mapped Y drive
Multiple workareas, for dev/qa etc

Sometimes( this word is the key, as I have not been able to constantly replicate the problem), when we do either copy/copyto/getlatest/undo changes etc the file
1. Disappears from the Y drive.
2. Looks perfectly fine through the teamsite GUI.
3. A looks like a stale file handle with ?? for properties through linux interface.

The only solution is to then force remove the file handle and copy the same file over (using Linux) from a different workarea/staging.

Mount/unmount does not help. Disk Check has not showed any significant information, logs are not helpful. Support is still waiting to reply.

Any ideas as to what may be going on?
