Area writability

Using TS 5.5.2 on NT, the workarea and file permissions seem to change without any action from the admininstrator's side:
The NTFS permissions for the local user group "RISGY08\intranet_admin" are set to "Full Control" on the entire path from the workarea downwards. Above the workarea the user group has "Read" rights.
Nevertheless the "
Area Writable
" property of any file or directory within the workarea is displayed as "
No
", even though the "
Area Permissions:
" property contains the user group with its access rights "
Full Control
" (see attachment).
When an "author" user (being member of the user group) tries to edit a file in the workarea the following error message pops up:
TeamSite: FileEdit
Error: you cannot edit the file since you do not have permission to modify this workarea
Any ideas what may have caused this behaviour? A couple of days ago everything was fine, and since then nobody has changed anything =:-(
Can it be something with the uppercase/lowecase of the domain name used in the user/usergroup names (see attachment)?
Tobias

You may want to check out the following article:

Pay particular attention to the suggestion about the netmonitor. There is a bug that is supposed to be fixed in the forthcoming TS5.5.2 SP2 that should fix this problem, but a lot of people have had better results by turning it off for the time being.

If you are using templating, have you checked the rights on the DCRs?
Just out of curiosity, do the permissions change after you have submitted the file (either to a workflow or direct)
