SitePublisher preview in debug mode after update to 7.2.1
Frederik
Hi guys...
hoping to get some good ideas ;-)
We've noticed that on all our 4 TeamSite servers (Windows 2003 32-bit) where we did an upgrade of TS 7.2.0 to 7.2.1, the "preview" mode of SitePublisher, is stuck in some sort of DEBUG mode.
I will attached some screenshots.
When previewing a .page (e.g. in Component Guide) there is a large dotted rectangle around each component, and a double click reveals the XML underlying the component.
Anyone seen this before? Anyone know how to get back to normal mode.
To clarify, we have a number of fresh installs 7.2.1 which are NOT showing this behaviour. It happens *only* on all our 7.2.0 to 7.2.1 upgraded TeamSite machines (all on Windows 2003 32-bit - and the 7.2.0 themselves were fresh installations on new servers)
Thanks.
PS: I have a ticket open for this... will report on findings I get.
-Frederik.

screenshots... I had to make them in JPG, as the upload limit for PNG or GIF is rediculously low (19kb)

we have now found out that:
- this debug mode is activated when logger category
com.interwoven.livesite.runtime.page
(or a parent category) is set to level="DEBUG". Normally, that's done in iw-preview's log4j.xml
(
$TSBASE\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-preview.war\WEB-INF\classes
) ==> this could affect any out of the box TeamSite customer
- the case really had nothing to do with the 7.2.0 to 7.2.1 upgrade, but accidentally was detected around the time we did that upgrade.
