7.2.1 Open Deploy Admin not starting up

Ive looked through logs and have an open case with Interwoven on this but so far we dont have a resolution.

Weve just installed OpenDeploy base on a windows 2008 R2 server and the AdminUI service will not stay running.

Ive attached logs if anyone wants to take a look. Also the odbase.

Im suspect of ports being incorrect. We have mcafee running on that server using port 8081. We tried setting the port to 8888.

Ive also uploaded the odbase.xml and the deploy.cfg in txt file format.

Im wondering if the java virtual machine is intalled correctly on this server also. Other than that I do not know why the service wont run.

Are you sure that the port is available?
Try running:netstat -na | grep port No. and then check what message you are getting.

If I do a netstat - na It shows me the attached screen.

For what it's worth, I have trouble starting the OpenDeploy Admin 7.2.1 on both Solaris and Unix. I think with TeamSite's ability to have OpenDeploy Admin functionality in the Administration screen, the OpenDeploy Admin team neglected to update the OpenDeploy Admin portion.

try to find what happening in these logs in admin-home/odadmin/log

1)odAdminServer.log
2)localhost_log.YYYY_MM_DD.txt

post that portion of logging only

I did not change mine. It's set at the default.

Otherwise, uninstall, reboot, and then re-install. I had a similar error on a receiver. I ended up reverting back to 6.x. Then a month later tried the 7.x install again and it worked without issue. Go figure.

I did not change mine. It's set at the default.

This had nothing to do with Admin console,it is whether to verify authentication before deployment start or not

Thank you guys for the help. I will give these things a try. Ive gotten no solutions from Interwoven support so far. And none of their ideas included the ones you have specified here.

What port number do you have in your \Interwoven\AdminServer\servletd\conf\server.xml file? (Look for this line - Define a non-SSL Coyote HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8080) Is it 8888 like you wanted, or is it still 8081?

What port number is displayed in the \Interwoven\AdminServer\odadmin\log\odAdminServer.log file? (http-8081 or http-8888 like you wanted)
