When I assign a task in CCSTD, I am getting a workflow instantiation screen. This screen has four fields
(1)Priority (2)Page Name (3)Workflow Type (4)Submit Comment.

Where do these fields come from ? If I want to add a field in this screen, where can I add it ? If I add a field in TAG_Info in the wft, that will be applicable to that particular workflow and this screen will come up after I have finished adding content in the instantiation screen. How can I rename fields of instantiation screen ?

You are confusing the term "instantiation screen" with "wizard interface". The fields you are talking about are part of the CCStd Wizard UI - once you set those fields and click Next (or Run or whatever the button says) - then the actual workflow is run and its instantiation screen (if any) will be presented - and that's where you can add your own custom fields.

If this is a WFT - look at __VALUE__('iw_desc')
If this is a WFM I'm not sure - I don't see anything resembling IW_DESC in the manual, but it doesn't mean it's not there in the UI.

We disabled the "wizard interface" (<param id="skip-submit-step" value="true"/> in the application_custom.xml) and have the users enter comments on the WF Instantiation screen.

Here is my problem.
For workflow job activated through ccstd, we are getting Wizard UI. In this UI we have a "submit comment" field. When a user enters comment in this field, this comment is to be displayed in the email that is going to the next user.

1) Comments are received in "iw_submit_comment" variable in the workflow. Which contains wfttask to invoke a CCPro workflow

2) Now we have variables element as a subelement of workflow element and also as sub-elements of submittask, externaltask etc. So to use a variable in submittask or externaltask, do I need to capture this variable at workflow levelk first and only after that I can use it in submittask or externaltask ? OR even if I dont catch a variable as workflow element's sub-elemet, I can still use it in externaltask or submittask ?

3) Once a variable is specified in externaltask with variables element, does it become available for use in the script being at cmd ?

4) Whats the use of a variable in submittask, because we are not running any script in submittask ?

5) Once I receive comment in nested workflow, then I am pasing it to externaltask, which runs iw_solution_email.ipl. This script is also passes header.tpl and body.tpl for email body and header. I want to get iw_submit_comment into the body of email, what shall I do ? I was told that I have to use iwgetvariable() to use this iw_submit_comment.

6) I passed submit comment from wizard UI ccstd workflow. From ccworkflow, I am passing it to root element "workflow" of this ccstd workflow. This workflow then invokes ccpro wf with wfttask element. Can I pass iw_submit_comment into this workflow as submitcomment variable ?
Now, how can I use this variable in CCPro workflow ? Do I need to capture in any other variable using iwgetVariable() or can I pass it directly to externaltask element ? Can I just usesubmitcomment directly in the body.tpl ?
