OD Error while deploying files with special characters

HI,
I am deploying files from one teamsite server (linux) to another teamsite server (Widnows)

In the source workarea there a couple of files with japanese characters as a part of their file name. OD is failing for these files. Is there any setting to mitigate this?

LIB 00017: 2010-04-20 22:47:48  ERROR: Could not get file data(.\content\2009SS_???.pdf) from socket.
LIB: (3) id=m53 2010-04-20 22:47:48  directive[reason missing-in-dest]
LIB: (3) id=m53 2010-04-20 22:47:48  directive[get .\content\BDF_??????_?????.zip]
LIB: 2010-04-20 22:47:48  ERROR: Length Data received from socket = [EA_START]
LIB: 2010-04-20 22:47:48  ERROR: Failed attribute transfer for (.\content\BDF_??????_?????.zip).

Though OD skips those folders in questions, it all of a sudden abdruptly hangs . the last line in the source log shows something like this

LIB: (3) 2010-04-21 00:36:14  Received 'get' request for (./content/framework/dnn.js)

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Do U mean, u are skipping the directory in question and still the problem occur ?. Did you try deploying to sender system itself and see what happens.
