Hi,TS 6.5 SP1 OS:Unix Basic work-flow:Author task -> Group task -> CGI task->External task( deploy task) -> back to group task.(Note: above is not complete exact workflow i have just picked up necessary part of workflow to explain the scenario.)Requirement:Workflow should allow any user from a group to deploy files to selected environment (staging/prod/dev etc) from CGI task.we did this so that we don't have multiple duplicate workflows in our system for deploying same files.Current settings:1. Group task: retainowner:f2. CGI task:owner:iw_user (mentioned in wft)immediate:twe are setting the owner of the CGI task in CGI ipl, by retrieving the owner of Grouptaskmy ($success, $objGroupTask)=$workflow->GetTaskByName("GROUPTASKNAME");my $strGroupTaskOwner = $objGroupTask->GetOwner();$task->SetOwner($strGroupTaskOwner);3. Selected field is then submitted to an ipl(say middleman.ipl) which sets the value n transistion's to next task. i.e. $task->CallBack(0, "");Issue:1. A user from a group is able to take the ownership, and is shown the CGI screen immediately and also allows him to select the field and submit the value to middleman.ipl, this ipl runs but task does not get transistioned.2. Task sits at "Start input task" and is assigned to IW_USER (i.e. the one which was mentioned in wft which is workflow owner)So any help is appreciated.
We are using $task->CallBack(0, "some comments");
on a side note why does this forum keeps signing me out...had to retype this post twice does anybody facing this issue? Even when i click on browser back it signs me out.
we are setting the owner of the CGI task in CGI ipl, by retrieving the owner of Grouptask...
Yeah, i had read that too in my search for this solution.But couldn't find original "iwat" solution thread.Would you mind giving more insight into this?Since we would like to first analyze all the intricacies of this solution and then implement it since we don't want our system to be impacted by this.Also there is no other solution other then using iwat event?
....... but I am currently reading DevNet remotely from my iPad and it isn't easy to do that using the iPad so you will have to try harder yourself.
