Firefox 5 - Tagger GUI - onSaveDone - callserver

callserver calls do not run when called from the onSaveDone event of the new Tagger GUI when using Firefox 5.

We do realize that Firefox 5 is not a supported browser for 6.7.2 SP2.

Exception: If an alert is placed after the callserver it will run.

Other than using a different browser, any other suggested workarounds?

If an alert() makes it work, then it's a synchronization issue. Firefox5 might be too fast trying to make the call. As such, replace your alert() with a setTimeout() and delay the execution of the callServer() for half a second.

Because setTimeout() does not pause the code but just schedules code to run after a set amount of time, the window closes before the code can run.

Not sure if it is feasible for your purposes but if you can switch a call to onSaveValid
you can perhaps try something along the following lines:

- within onSaveValid Handler execute callserver and immediately return Boolean false. Form should stay open.

- code save_n_close callback() function, use IWDatacapture.save() there. Note that this method
does not generate onSaveValid event so we will not have redundant onSaveValid handler call.

- upon successful execution make your callserver generate JS code that executes save_n_close() callback.
