how to get system generated metadata values

Hi All,
I want to populate fields in my metadata capture form with the system generated metadata like " mo9dified by" or "modified".
I tried to look into the pdfs but could not find the way to get the value of system generated metadata.
Please help me achieving this functionality.

As per the TeamSite command line tools PDF, there are a set of attributes that we can manipulate using iwattrib. Could any one confirm that we can manipulate the 'LiveSiteID' attribute using this command.
