OpenDeploy causing iowait problem?

Hi. One of our several 4.2.1 Solaris OpenDeploy instances (yes, I know it's old - it's going away very soon!) seems involved in creating a very high iowait state on the machine that it's installed on.

When running the 'top' command, OpenDeploy doesn't appear to be using many / any resources, but periodically the machine it's on slows to a crawl and the the 'iowait' % shown in top goes up to about 70%.

Trying to figure out the problem, we'd worked through several tests of stopping other more likely processes but this time when we stopped OpenDeploy, it freed up the iowait problem immediately - leading me to believe that OpenDeploy is indeed the problem. I couldn't find any indication of the problem in the sending / receiving logs.

Has anyone else out there run into this problem?
