Favorites gone after restart

I am working with TS 6.7.2.0 on Win 2008. Every time I restart the server all the favorites get deleted. That's frustrating enough while I am developing but what about the users losing all their favorites after maintenance or something like that. Is this a known issue? Any idea how to stop this?

That's definitely not expected behaviour, but I don't know where you'd start diagnosing that one. The only thing I can say is that 6.7.2 isn't supported on Win2k8, so that probably doesn't help.

The installer I got from Interwoven was specifically designated as a Windows 2008 installer.

I'll sidestep the "why" question and just say that the favourites are stored along with all the information TS stores about a user, in iw-home/local/entities/Data. Therefore, I'd say check the permissions around those files and folders, and look at the usual suspects for Java stack traces (i.e. content_center.log). But given that your install is special, I'd first ask IWOV support if your build is to blame.

Thanks everybody. The problem was a corrupted file in the entities/Data directory.

Can you elaborate as to which file (full path) was bad?
