EAs missing!

Hi All,

Thanks in advance. I am deploying content from STAGING of server 1 to WORKAREA of server 2. The files are getting copied over fine but the EAs are not. I have also specified applyExtAttrs tag. Still no result. I have also specified the config file I am using. Can any one tell me what I am missing here?

you cannot deploy EA to a TeamSite target where an alternate location for temporary deployed files is specified in the listenerProperties element's transientDirectory. check this in odbase.xml and remove the attribute transientDirectory and restart the OD server and test after that.

Check it in odrcvr.xml on your target Nodes.

Base server has only odbase.xml. In any case, check that transientDirectory is not set
on your target node, whatever that may be. If it isn't, try to change "preserveAcls" to "no",
see if that changes anything. if not - contact support. Your Deployment configuration
looks correct, it should work.

Are you by any chance running OpenDeploy as "non-root" (non-SYSTEM) on Windows?
If so, this might explain why the preserveAcls setting was causing problems - though I thought that issue got caught and logged somewhere (perhaps in ODHOME/od.log)

I am running the OD scripts with my id(admin on the box). I didn't see any errors related to the script execution in OD.log

The question was actually different.

Ghoti pointed out that depending on your OD Base/Receiver Services configurations you
*may* have problems with ACLs. So... What is the account your OD Services are running
under? Is it "LocalSystem"? If not, what is it?

Okay - so that [theoretically] eliminates that as being the source of odd behavior. Oh well, it was a shot in the dark that would have made sense.
