Can WFT and WFM work together?

Hi,

I am using the existing environment where wft has been used. I have never worked on WFT however I have knowledge of WFM. Now I want to design a new workflow, can someone let me know can I use WFT and WFM both in a single enviornment?

Could you elaborate more that what do you mean by "mixing up workflows" because in wft I need to make entry in available_templates.cfg, however for wfm I need to make entry in available_models, now at the time of instantiation how will the workflow engine comes to know that which entry needs to be picked? or will it display the consolidated lists of available workflows?

At the instantiation it will read both configuration files. You will see the difference in instantiation screen itself for whether its wfm or wft.

I am not sure about the order which one read first and last. But it will read both configuration and will display in instantiaton screen.

Mixup- code mixup(wft and wfm)

Note:
Not sure about the instantiation screen will show or error shown when any of one is invalid and other one is valid configuration.

The only way I could conceive of someone "mixing up" WFT and WFM code would be via a nested workflow - and that probably wouldn't cause any problems (in general).
The only other way would be for someone to open a WFT and write IPM contents or open an IPM and write WFT contents - but then you'd have to be pretty brain-dead to do either of those (IMO) - so I think the notion of "mixing up" WFT and WFM code is pretty much a non-issue.

Nested workflow you can achieve(wft and wfm). code mix-up and transferring wfm to wft should be complex process unless put some effort to find equivalent. wfm has more advantage/tasks compare to wft.
