We have an issue on a recently installed 7.2 TeamSite (fresh install, copied iw-store from TS 6.7.2 SP2) where it seems the impersonation is not working correctly for one of our TS servers.
There is a support ticket for this, however hoping DevNet peps can get an answer faster…
TS 7.2 on Win 2003
Two servers worked but one didn’t. The difference in this QA server is for some reason or another IIS manager was not installed (although IIS was) when TeamSite was installed.
The issue in a nut shell…
When accessing the iw-mount through IIS “Default Web Site” we cannot access the content stores. The same is true for navigating the content stores through “Y:/”.
It does not seems to be a permission issue on the stores themselves (of course this could be wrong) as adding myself to the “TeamSite Web Preview” server group allows me to access the stores. Also the same iw-store is used for all three servers.
Steps that worked for DEV and PRD servers:
1. Change the password for user “TSIMP_{hostname}”.
2. In IIS, at “Web Sites / Default Web Site – Properties. Directory Security tab, select Edit on “Authentication and access control”.
3. Change password for “TSIMP_{hostname}” to newly set user password. Select “Integrated Windows authentication”.
4. Apply, then on pop-up apply to all sites.
5. Stop then start IIS Default Web Site.
This worked on our DEV and PRD but not on QA. After it worked, I removed the “Integrated Windows authentication” option and it was still working.
Yet, on our QA it did not work.
Here is the difference in this server:
Since the IIS Manager was not installed (even though IIS was) we had to uninstall IIS, and then reinstall it.
After, we ran

/Programs/Interwoven/TeamSite/iw-perl/bin/perl iw-home/install/tspostreboot.pl iw-home IIS.
This created the site as expected, then we did the above steps like was done on the other servers, yet this did not work.
Since still no worky, this here is what we did:
1. We then deleted the user “TSIMP_{hostname}” from all server groups
2. Deleted the user “TSIMP_{hostname}”
3. Deleted the “iw-mount” under IIS Default Web Site.
4. Changed the default web site port back to 80.
5. ran

/Programs/Interwoven/TeamSite/iw-perl/bin/perl iw-home/install/tspostreboot.pl iw-home IIS
6. Verified user “TSIMP_{hostname}” was recreated and that “iw-mount” was created, also that the Default Web Site port is 81.
Still this did not work, so we repeated the “Steps that worked for DEV and PRD servers”; Still not working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
