Hi,
No it will not impact the performance.
The performance of the page/pages is basically dependent on the JS/CSS files as well as the digital files/assets you are using on page.

I'd say it depends on what you're doing that's custom. If you have a Java class which crunches the value of pi to the millionth digit, or you have a very complex page layout XSL, it could very well affect the performance of the page rendering.
