Well default browse buttons in DCT will let you browse only TS CC directory.

For doing what you require, you will need to execute a custom script on callout.

What are you trying to do?

Provide more details on what you are expecting here.
Whether are you trying to navigate TS or local system from DCT
In TS, whether its in same workarea or different workarea, branch or store.

you mean to say, you are trying to navigate to client/local system when you clicks button in DCT to browse files

or you expecting something else here?

As I said, it's not available by default.

You have to write custom scripts. However since you are saying that you are new to TS, It's gonna be difficult for you.

What is the end result you wish to accomplish? Do you want to upload the file to TeamSite or just get the path location and name of the selected file?

As mentioned by others, you're going have to code this yourself.

You'll could use a cgi-callout in your datacapture.cfg file to call custom code (that you need to write yourself) to allow you to browse the file system. You can begin by using simple html tags such as [PHP] [/PHP]

which will give you a browse button and file field.

If you're just starting I would suggest getting a hold of some manuals or examples from the documentation or the server install (ie. iwhome\examples).
