How to set the Radio Buttons to setReadOnly(true)

I am using two Radio Buttons in the DCT , If the user select one radio button , I want to set the other radio button to setReadOnly(true) or setVisible(false)
I am getting the values in using Forma API

Hide no, you would need to remove it.

Not within FormAPI. You can of course use pure JS, find corresponding input Tag and change style.display attribute to 'none' but that's a hack.

As has been already pointed by Nipper, since in this schema you can not "unselect" radio button that has been once selected, you might as well
[post=131376]remove an alternative option[/post] altogether. if you do that, you won't need "ButtonValue" variable to remember, etc. Leave Selected button as the
only option, that's it.

Another glitch in this schema is that it's Session-related. Save DCR and open it up again and Lo and Behold! You can toggle buttons again.
To fix that you'll need to traverse your Form onInit and set already populated buttons upfront etc...

Frankly, the whole idea of "you can do it only once!" type is the one I personally try to avoid. Even for something that can not really change
in the future ( Barcelona won last night! ) what if your Content Contributor simply makes a mistake?

You do not need "radioButtonValue" - what if there are several Radio Button Items like that (Replicants, etc)?
You do not code array processing entry by entry - what if there are N Radio-button Options in some of them?

I disagree with this statement. I tend to use this method when autonaming a DCR. The user may select the language, the navigation parent and some information to determine the file name. From that I can define the DCR name as well as the generated HTML name (if appropriate). I do not want someone changing that mid stream if the file has already been named. In the case that someone does an oh s**t and messes up, they cancel the new form entry and start over. I always put this at the beginning so it is locked before they do too much work.

Following the thread, I mark the items read only (as well as on load of an existing DCR) but do not remove the other values. The only complaint is the lack of Save As ability. Maybe once a year. No big deal.
