set global variable from CGI script

Hi,
In my workflow I have a configurable global variable with following properties
ID : ID1310102921917
Label : $status

I have a cgitask in my workflow.From the perl script of this CGITask I want to set this global variable as "Success" or "Fail"(based on some condition)
Is their any method to achive this.(Iam using WFM)
Please find a solution

You have SetVariable() method of job variable of workflow.

$name = "name or ID of the workflow variable";
$value ="Value that need to be set to the workflow variable";

my $job = TeamSite::WFworkflow->new($jobId);
$VariableSetStatus = $job -> SetVariable($name, $value);

if $VariableSetStatus is non-zero indicates an error occurred in setting variable.
