deleting content from STAGING

In the GUI, delete functionality is greyed out for STAGING.

Can I delete a file by browsing through the file system to the STAGING and deleting content from there ? Is STAGING accessible through file system route ?

Staging and Editions are read-only areas. You can not change Staging directly. You can not change an Edition at all, only remove it completely.
For the Staging, you'd have to delete the File in a Workarea and "Submit a Deletion"
