Teamsite server is not accessable after install the 6.7.2 SP2

Hi,

I have upgraded the current 6.7.2 with TS 6.7.2 SP2 on Windows Virtual Machine. But after installation, I am not able to access Teamsite server.

OS: Windows 2003 Standard Edition SP2
Current TeamSite: 6.7.2

I have checke the log files but it is not showing any error. All services are running except Teamsite service.

Could you please help here to solve this issue.

if iwserver fails to start something MUST be in your logs, specially iwserver.log or iwtrace.log. I should do a recheck on them.

Since, I believe, Sp2 contains a new license key mechanism i suspect it has to do with this, but this error should then be in the logs....

The new license was 6.5SP2. That being said he may have installed a product he was not licensed for.

One more thing to look at is the list of domains if they are ODS based. That can prevent TS server from starting.

From the iwserver.log:

[Mon Nov 08 05:33:07 2010] ERROR: iwserver did not come up in 600 seconds

This is usually an indication that your server is having trouble connecting to one or more domain controllers for authentication. Do you have a

domain_list

setting in your

[iwserver

section of your iw.cfg file? If not, you probably need one.

I have mentioned the domain_list under [iwserver] section and [iwcgi] section. But getting the same problem

2 things to try.

rename your backingstore and create a new folder, then reboot the box.

If that fails you will need to try reinstall. If it works, something is bad with the backingstore

Hi,

The problem has been resolved. Below is the solution.

The original installation did not properly create the TeamSite Web Preview group via the tspostreboot.pl script. Manually created the TeamSite Web Preview group and were then able to start the TS service. Once this was done, the tspostreboot.pl script was run successfully to configure the IIS web server.
