Image Pixel Validation

Hi,

We have a following new requirement in our template development.

We have a 'Image' Browse field in our DCT form. Need to validate the selected image pixel size (Ex: 200x200 pixels) while saving (onSave) the DCR. If the size is other than 200x200 pixels need to provide popup message to the user.

Could you pls suggest any way to validate the image.

callServer script using something like ImageMagik - that then calls back to the DCT FormAPI layer to either finish the save, or to abort it and display an alert.
You might be able to find additional info by searching the forums for "ImageMagik" (or "ImageMagic") as this topic has been brought up before.

I first suggested you spell it as ImageMagik - however that doesn't seem to turn up any hits in the forums either (I just checked) - so instead, I suggest you google it and then use the information you find to put together a solution - either that or find some other image information parsing utility - for instance, the perl module Image::Info looks pretty useful...

Hi,

I followed your suggestion, able to get the pixel size for the image local machine. Please find the attachment for your reference.

But I am not able pass the correct path of the image in teamsite. I tried with different options.

Option 1:
var filepath = "/iw-cc/command/iw.group.preview_file?vpath=//vhi01intdss01/default/main/my_branch/WORKAREA/main/images/tab.gif";

Option 2:
var filepath = "/iwmnt/default/main/my_branch/WORKAREA/main/images/tab.gif";

I tried with different options to get the pixel size, but could not able succed.

Please suggect me filepath format need to send while image parsing in Teamsite

What you posted bears very little resemblance to anything I suggested - so I have no idea what you are trying to do or how you are trying to do it.
Perhaps you should re-read my previous response and then show the code you are trying to use -- not only to perform the function of getting the information, but also how you are calling that code - since the two go hand-in-hand.
