Setting and Resetting TS permissions from the clt

Hello,

We are moving from multiple workareas to a single workarea, and implementing Teamsite Permissions avalible in 6.7.2.

What I'd really like to do is clear all permissions for the new workarea (or any workarea for that matter) and then script a rebuild of permissions from a clean slate.

I haven't found yet a CLT that allows me to clear ALL permissions in a workarea or even branch.

I've tried scripting the remove for each file and directory in the workarea, but it keeps getting stuck on "Special(R)" for some files. The only way I can seem to resolve that permission is through the UI, and I'm not ready to manually fix thousands of files one at a time.

Any thoughts on how to clear ALL permissions in a workarea first of all?

I don't think you can clear everyhing (because then you wouldn't have access) - but you should be able to set access rights which should then replace whatever was there.

Have you tried using the various sub-commands of the iwaccess CLT?

Yea, we've tried almost all the sub commands.

The problem is, and the reason I'm contemplating removing all permissions, is that we want to restrict access, and the everybody group exists with these "Special(R)" permissions that I can not seem to remove from the command line.

Did you have a TeamSite Web Preview group defined on the server before the installation was performed?
My guess is 'no' - as this usually results in 'Everyone' being added to the entire branch structure -- there are KB articles on the support site about how to fix this.
Even if you did have the TeamSite Web Preview group defined ahead of time, you may still want to look through the KBs on the support site as they may still be relevant.
Also - have you explicitly indicated in each branch and/or workarea that you do not want to inherit from the parent?

I just checked and we do have the Teamsite Web Preview group setup. As well, I have defined no inheritance
