How to enable SSL HTTPS TeamSite Login screen only

Hi All,
In order to make our TeamSite usage more secure, I have read all the documentation and have successfully enabled SSL & HTTPs on the TeamSite server. However, how does one force only login screen to use SSL/HTTPS?

For example, if someone requests
http://teamsite.company.com/iw-cc/command/iw.ui

it would automatically redirect
https://teamsite.company.com/iw-cc/command/iw.ui

And then upon login, switch back to standard http?

This basic requirement is the same for most enterprise applications.

Thoughts, pointers, KB articles, etc? I've had no luck and also have a support case pending.
