XPath to DCR Radio button in SitePub

I can't seem to get my xpath right. It goes to the otherwise no matter what I try. Any ideas on the correct way to clock the value of a selected radio button? Thanks!

Try:

<xsl:when test="/Properties/Data/Datum/DCR/Root/Base/Orientation/radio/option.value == 'Vertical'">

Or something along those lines - your existing test was just like saying: "if (hair)" rather than "if (hair = blonde)"

Your XML says selected="t" -- however your XSL says @Selected="true"....First it is case sensitive and second "t" and "true" are two different string values :-)!

Additionally /Properties/Data/Datum/DCR/Root/Base/Orientation/radio/option -- doesn't qualify which Datum. It'll take the first Datum from your component's XML and use that -- whether it is the intended one or not. You should always qualify it with the Datum name/id. Same goes for any subsequent XML nodes.

I guess I need to be more clear. I'm hoping for the correct xpath used in a site pub component to a selected radio button in a DCR. I have one datum in the component to the DCR.

Also, as I understand it, selected="t" in the DCR simply pre-selects the radio button. [@Selected] in the XSL checks for which radio is selected. At least it does in an inline component.

1. I would recommend you preview and format your post correctly - it is difficult to read your XML the way it is posted.

2. You are posting just the DCR XML....We need to see the XML output of your component and not just the DCR.

3. Your assumption about "@Selected" is somewhat incorrect. XSL, in its true form, is a stylesheet - not a programming language. It looks at what is in the XML document and styles that. If your XML says "selected" vs "Selected" then your XSL better use the one that is in your XML. AGain the confusion here is that you are including hte DCR XML. We need the component XML which will include the DCR XML to get the full XPath.
