Resetting the permission in tpl file

I am using teamsite 6.7.1 version.
We are setting the generted xml file as private if the user selects the option as draft in one of the field in template.
Now if the record is generated by admin user, next time non admin users are not able to generate the record.

How do we reset the permission or give full permissions(777) to the generated file in the presentation tpl??

You'd probably have to set the permissions via a FormAPI callServer() script as part of something like an onSaveDone event handler - before the DCR is processed by the PT.

You mention "private" and you mention permissions of "777".
By "private" do you mean mode-bits 700 or do you mean the TeamSite private attribute that prevents the file from being submitted?
If you mean 700 - perhaps you could explain the rationale behind doing so? Why make a generated file's access so restricted for a "draft"?
