Datacapture Forms distorted issue

Hi,

Sometimes when creating a DCT, the fields in the datacapture template come as distorted in some browsers. Meaning all the fields in the form are not aligned in a straight line towards left, some are distorted.
This appears fine in Mozilla sometimes or in IE sometimes. Is it difiicult to control this issue and can this be done only by customizing the teamsite codebase or anything can be done in our datacapture code to control this kind of a behaviour?

Any kind of pointers and suggestions would really help.

If you are using an unsupported browser for the version of TeamSite you have installed, then it's too be expected.

Also, some examples of the issue would be great (screen print). Along with the datacapture.cfg and any custom css and java files you may be using with the DCR.

You can attempt to combat some of this by customizing the CSS that's used by the DCTs - but ultimately it's a product problem - the HTML code generated internally by the product is horribly ugly and hack-ish and tends to be driven more by IE-quirks mode than any thing better (there was a thread about this not toooo long ago, unfortunately I cannot remember when/when/who posted it and my quick attempts at searching for it didn't turn up anything)

Known issues:
- Containers in Firefox don't tend to utilize the full width of the window
- The 'description' pop-up text box is constrained on the right-side by the location of the (?) icon - if the label wraps you get less width
- row-continue sometimes throws off positioning of elements
- Label length throws off positioning of elements

The last one is the easiest one to play with, but if someone changes the width of the window all your effort might be for naught.

The Teamsite version is 7.2 and the browsers this is affecting is Mozilla Firefox 5.0 while it works fine on IE 6.0.

I have uploaded the datacapture.cfg file. The screenshots are not uploading because of the large size.
