Template even on removal shows its reference with the Get Latest Component action

Hi,

We have two templates put in two different workareas locations , earlier We make use of both these templates for our *.page files, But now we have decided to remove one of the Template and use a single template for our pages.

Since the there were a load of *.pages, we wrote a small script that reads the page , search and replaces the un-required template name with the one that is required.

Now, when we do the Get Latest Components action on the .page , we still find the reference from the template that is not required , But If we look at the source code of the *.page file, the required template is replaced.

So, we performed this same operation of search and replace method manually(editing it using a text editor). Now when we perform the Get Latest component action , it displays the correct required template name.

Any suggestions or pointers..!

Do you mean:

branch - so if you meant 'b' you are (or were) working in an unsupported context.

Hi Gothi , It is option 'b'. and moreover , the workarea I mention here is the one with in the LiveSite env : "/iwadmin/main/livesite/template/WORKAREA/".

Nwain, as I said in my previous post - I believe that scenario is unsupported. I'm not sure where you'd find that information in the version you are using, but in the ts_72_author_install_rev4_en.pdf document, the following is on page 125 (the context is dependency migration):

NOTE SitePublisher only supports a single Workarea per branch. In SitePublisher, there should only be one Workarea per branch; other Workareas should be removed.
