Hi,

We want to set the .page to display based on the IP where you come from ?

When it detects IP from US, it shows US-EN landing index page.
UK, it shows UK-EN landing index page.

I have read through the sp dev guide on GeoIP.

It recommends to subscribe to an account for Net Acuity Server.

Anyone has setup a GEO IP before ?

Have not tried that, what version of TS/LS ? There is some new functionality in 7.1 that may help in this matter.

It may/may not help with what you are doing. You may also be able to use this information for other means.

Basically for translations, if you have a component that reads a DCR blah.xml, if then encoding of the browser is changed (say to fr-FR), then it will look first for blah_fr-FR.xml and then blah_fr.xml, finally it will load blah.xml

That make providing translated content quite easy. You can probably get the browser encoding without too much trouble.

Do you have Targeting ? I know Targeting has the ability, based on URL to provide targetted content.

You might want to double-check with either Support or your Autonomy Interwoven Sales rep - but as I don't believe that 7.0 was ever "generally" released you should probably upgrade to 7.1 so that you're using an actively released and supported version (not that 7.0 isn't supported, just that it's likely to receive less attention in terms of fixes than 7.1)

Ghoti. Yes, you are right. Sooner or later we will need to upgrade to 7.1.

As for the GeoIP, we might consider doing a web server rewrite rules as we are still yet to start on targeting. And as i know the 7.1 installation can be painful.
