Convert assets (pdf) to XML

Is it possible to get assets from media bin in xml format.

MediaBin has a proprietary XML format mainly used for MediaBin to MediaBin transfer. If you create a task using the "XML Encoder" you can see a great number of options. While the output format is proprietary, it is pretty straightforward and can be parsed to find any desired metadata field known to MediaBin.

However, I suspect that this is not exactly what is desired in a PDF-->XML conversion. There is not a MediaBin primitive that can effect a conversion that, for example, changes PDF section boundaries to XML elements.
