Cannot delete tuple files
yuvpurush
OD 621/TS672/Win2003
We are calling a ipl wrapper file (under httpd/iw-bin) via browser. I calls a series of perl files (.pl) which includes OD and DD. [Don't ask me why. That is the way it is executed by this client so far]. The tuple files are generated for DD in the workarea. But after that, we cannot able to delete it. It says permission denied. The code for creating the tuple file, and deleting, both are in the same .pl file. Not sure why it couldn't delete it. I tried both unlink command and also the `del` command. Is there anything like 'iwui' kind of user for windows?
Has anyone encountered similar issue?

I think you need to do a bit more investigative work to verify who the script is running as and what the permissions / ACLs are on the file(s) which you are trying to delete.
Since this is clearly custom code - we cannot help you do the investigative work. Once you've collected more information, if you still cannot figure it out - post that information and
maybe
someone will be able to provide some ideas or insights.

Got the issue... the code was working properly in Solaris.
When we moved to windows, actually the DD is locking the tuple files while execution. Once it is completed, it take time to unlock. Hence the code which tries to delete the tuple file immediately after the DD is not working (permission denied). Once we give a timelag of 60 secs, then we can delete the files.
Moral: DD on windows, takes a bit longer time to release the internal lock over the tuple files.
