We are migrating from TS6.5 Solaris to TS672 Windows.

In their existing code, the client is using "iwxml_validate.ipl" for verifying the xml well formedness. This ipl file does not exists in 672 on windows (probably depricated). However, i copied the ipl from the old 6.5 ts to the new environment.

For various xml files, the old environment confirms "valid", but the new environment says invalid (Bad File Descriptor)

The same ipl file and same xml file. but different outputs in Solaris and Windows.

Can Someone throw some light on this?

I suggest you add some debugging code to the script - or - run it from the location of the script as:

iwperl -d iwxml_validate.ipl command-line-arguments

with the script open in an editor so you can figure out where to put a break point and then step through the code from that point forward.
