Metadata capture & FormAPI

Is it possible to use FormAPI within the datacapture.cfg file I created to capture Metadata? I haven't had any luck getting the TeamSite to recognize any Javascript that I include in the datacapture.cfg file. The javascript doesn't show up if I view the HTML source for the metadata capture window.

I need selection values on the Metadata template to change in response to selections that were made higher up on the template. For example if the user selected "Americas" for the "Geography" then I only want to display countries within the Americas for the "Country" selection.

Unfortunately FormAPI is not supported for the Metadata capture template.
