Hiding the existing Teamsite menu for a particular role

Hi,

My requirement is to hide the existing menu options in Teamsite. For eg In View Menu Modified Files. If I want to hide the modified files link under view option for a particular role, is it possible.

Can anyone suggest how to do this?

Not in a supported manner.

Short of hacking, you can perhaps remove OTB "Modified Files" and replace it with the custom
Menu item. Then you can expose custom operation to Role management through userops_custom
configuration, etc...

Hi,

There is file named as ui_custom.xml
under
IW-HOME/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer

Reference to change is also available for that under IW-HOME/local/config/lib/content_center/reference

I have removed the default menu and created a new one with the same name and its working fine.
